Why Are You A Fan of Nichole's Music?
I realize this may never be read by Nichole Nordeman, but I wanted to share the reason her music makes a big difference in my life!
I was sitting at a Women of Faith meeting trying to figure out if I really fit in this world... do I make a difference... sitting at a real crossroad in my life. I had no idea who she was, But Sandy Patty said her daughter listened to her music. Since I truly respect Sandy Patty's music, I was open to listen. As Nichole Nordeman sat at the keyboard and began to sing, tears ran down my face!!! Her words spoke life back into my heart.
You see, my dad had just passed away, and my heart was so broken, I wasn't sure I could go on. I am a daughter, sister, wife, mother and a school teacher of 20+ years, and I was really struggling with the thoughts of whether I could go on!! As Nichole sang... "When I was a child" ... "When I was 16" ... "When I was..." She explained through the song who Jesus was during each period of time, and it brought me back to my God and relationship of where I was and where I needed Him to be for me during that season in my life. Now a couple years later, knowing how well God meets our needs during some of the darkest of days, I share her CD with everyone!!
To this day I do not have a CD of Nichole Nordeman, because one of my friends may be going through something bigger than they think they can handle and I RUN to the store and buy her blue CD (the one before BRAVE) and give it to them!! Everyone says, the same thing, "I can not believe she is so young, singing and writing such amazing songs!!" I pray you never retire and God keeps equipping you to handle Family, Ministry and Work, because you are making such a difference in the lives of others. Your songs gave me the strength to go on. I am still learning to deal with the loss, but it has been your music that has been healing for my soul!!
Eternally Grateful,
Mary M.
